We’re having an open house! Or rather open farm. We have been wanting to do this, but weren’t sure if it would fit into our schedule. When we realized next weekend would be our best chance for it we have decided to go ahead. We are really looking forward to showing our customers and our neighbors around, so you can see what we are up to.

Bring your children to see the chickens and turkeys in their pasture shelters, and the Jersey cows and our little calf! You will be allowed to go up to the poultry shelters and the cows’ pasture, but not inside, for bio-security reasons. Just a warning at this point – the cows’ fence is electrified – so do not touch the fence!

You will want to bring clothing for the outdoors, as we the tour might last up to an hour. I’ve never done this before, so I’m not sure how long it will be. And bring rubber boots if you have them, or anything that can handle wet grass, mud, and chicken droppings!

We will serve some samples of our chicken at the end of the tour. Hope to get to know you all better!

Tours start every 2 hours: 9:00 am; 11:00 am; 1:00 pm; 3:00 pm; and 5:00 pm

Location: 10580 Hwy 215, South Maitland, NS, B0N 2H0

Directions from Halifax: Take Hwy 102 North to exit 10; from the ramp, turn left on Hwy 215 (north), follow for 15 minutes to the farm, on the left (civic #10580).

From Truro: Take highway 236 to South Maitland, just across the Gosse bridge, and turn left on Highway 215. We are the third on the right (civic #10580).
